The Isodom 4 tournament was the fourth iteration of the Isodom/Gokodom-series of online tournaments. The tournament was held from 25 March 2012 until 10 June 2012. MeanMrMustard once again was the organizer of the tournament. He was joined by Kirian. Halfway through the tournament, MrMeanMustard disappeared, leading to Kirian taking over the complete tournament. Fabian, the Isodom 3 champion entered this tournament, but didn't defend his title. He was eliminated in the semi-finals by DG, who ended up losing in the final to RisingJaguar, 5-2.

Format

The tournament had two stages, a group stage and a knock-out stage. In the group stage, the 64 competitors were divided into 8 groups. Each player played a match against all other players in his group. A match consisted of 7 games. The player who wins a majority of them, wins the match. The winner of a game receives 2 points. A draw results in both players getting 1 point. A loss is worth no points. After the group stage, the group winners advance to the semi-finals, in which they play the winners of 3 other groups, in a 4-player match. This match consists of 5 games, with each game being scored 3, 2, 1 and 0 points for the winner, runner up and third and fourth placed player respectively. The player who scores the most game points in each of the semi-finals advances to the final, in which a best-of-9 match is played. The winner of this match wins the tournament.
