The Isodom 5 online tournament was the fifth installment of the Isodom/Gokodom series, and the last one in the Isodom-series. The tournament was held from the 9th of June 2012 until the 16th of September. Kirian organised the tournament. RisingJaguar, the reigning champion, didn't defend his title. He was followed-up by Stef, blueblimp and Qvist, who each won one of the divisions the competition was divided into. DG, Young Nick and Teproc lost the finals, with 3-2, 3-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Format

The 65 players were divided into three divisions of roundabout 20 players each, based on seeding. Each division then held a competition in a same format, with a Swiss stage and a Play-off stage.

The Swiss stage consisted of five matches. A match consisted of five games, with the player winning the most games winning the match. A win or bye was worth 1 point. A tie was worth 0.5 point, and a loss was worth no points. The top eight from the division advances to the play-off stage.

The play-off stage consisted of a fully seeded single-elimination bracket, with matches consisting of five games, with the winner of the most games moving on to the next round. This continues until one player remains, who is crowned the division champion.

23 players entered this division, 20 out of them finished all five matches. If players are tied in points, the following tiebreaker criteria are used:

• Buchholz score, the sum of the scores of all of the opponents of the player, discarding the best and worst score.
• Solkoff score, the sum of the scores of all the opponents of the player.
• Number of points in matches concerning the tied players.
• Cumulative score, the sum of the scores of the player during every round of the Swiss stage.
