Money density

Money density is the coin output of treasures in your deck in a given 5 card starting hand. For example a deck of all silvers will be guaranteed to have 10 money per turn wheras a deck of 5 silvers and 5 golds will make an average of 12.5 money per turn.

Some decks aim for a high money density to order buy a single province per turn (i.e. Big money). However in decks like these shuffling happens very infrequently and shuffle luck plays big part in how much money is made per turn. Moreover, as buying provinces is the top priority hitting higher price points above 8 is unnecessary and and actually be detrimental as the money generated per turn can fluctuate wildly.
