The copying of sections of the strategy blurb (in this case found on the Page page) onto the individual page for each card in the traveller line seems a bit strange/suboptimal to me. Wouldn't it be better just to link to the full blurb (or perhaps directly to the relevant subsection of it)? Doing it this way means that whole swathes of text are on multiple pages of the wiki, which is a little odd and seems as though it will cause maintenance problems, with the two versions prone to drifting apart over time. : Having the full text on both pages is a compromise, since if it's to be on just one page we disagree on which page it should be on. [[User:Ajd|Ajd]] ([[User talk:Ajd|talk]]) 10:05, 29 April 2022 (EDT)

:: Do you mean you'd prefer to remove the duplicated text from the Page blurb in each case? I do agree that writing something entirely separate for each card would be a potentially reasonable alternative approach to handling these strategy blurbs, and the team drafting and editing the strategy blurbs discussed that possibility extensively. Our eventual consensus was that it made the most sense to present the Traveller strategy blurbs as single longish articles, and we therefore quite carefully crafted them to make sense that way. I think there's certainly a reasonable argument for doing it the other way, but no one has. And given that this is the way we've done it, I still find it odd to duplicate the text. ::: I dislike duplicating the text, since it makes it harder to edit in the future. Since you don't get Champion without Page, you never have to consider it by itself -- you always consider it within the context of the Page line. If you do want to duplicate text for travellers, I would greatly prefer using [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Transclusion transclusion] rather than duplicating the entire text. That way, you could edit the text in one place and then it will get copied by MediaWiki automatically. :::: Transclusion is a fine idea; can you implement it? I just dislike the idea of someone who wants to learn about the card Champion looking for it on the page about Champion and being told they have to look somewhere else for it; it just makes the wiki more inconvenient to navigate..
