Dame Josephine is one of the ten Knight cards from Dark Ages. Like the other Knights, she is an Action–Attack-Knight that trashes other players' cards. Unlike the other Knights, she is also a Victory card worth 2 . She is generally thought to be one of the less valuable Knight cards, since her additional bonus—the 2 —doesn't benefit you until the end of the game, and as a Knight in a kingdom with other Knights, she is highly likely to be trashed before the end of the game.

 Strategy Article
General Knights strategy is on the Knights page.
Dame Josephine is a Knight better bought near the end of the game, just before you would ordinarily switch to buying Duchies. If she's near the top of the Knights pile, players may be reluctant to gain her for fear of revealing a more useful Knight below for the opponent. However, she can be a good opportunistic buy if you happen to have Hovel in hand.
