Strategy
Synergies
- You will benefit greatly from Cache, Ill-Gotten Gains, Beggar, and Banquet; Count and Treasure Trove to a lesser extent; and your opponents' Mountebank, although this will require you to run Copper-centric strategies leading to a rush through a three-pile ending.
- Gardens will also benefit greatly.
- Your Copper becomes useful in the presence of Coppersmith, Counting House and Apothecary.
- Flooding your deck with Copper may also help mitigate your opponents' junking.
- While you cannot trash your Coppers when taking advantage of Fountain, you can exile them, thinning your decks and still setting yourself up for a potential 15 VP if you can add three coppers to your starting seven (whether directly into exile or your deck).

Preview
Fountain is a simple one. At the end of the game, if you have 10+ Coppers, you get 15 . Bam. If you don't, you don't get anything; if you have 20+ Coppers, sorry, still just 15 . Okay? So, you decide: do you want the enough to have the Coppers? If you do, you probably don't want the extra Coppers until later, but you don't want to wait until it's too late. Sometimes you may even try to trash your starting Coppers and then buy them back later.
Secret History
Stef Meijer suggested this one. It was one of the first Landmarks and so started out weaker, at 8 for 10 Coppers.
