Oasis is best thought of as a weak [[Peddler variant]]: although cheap, it has the major downside of decreasing rather than maintaining your hand size, meaning that unlike other Peddlers it is difficult to use in bulk. As such, it is most likely to benefit a deck that contains some amount of [[junk]] or other [[dead]] cards for it to discard, or those that benefit from being discarded, like {{Card|Village Green}}. Other use cases include decks that can benefit from both the [[non-terminal]], Action-based [[payload]] and the small [[sifting]] effect while suffering less than usual from smaller hand sizes, such as [[draw-to-X]] [[engine]]s and those relying on {{Card|Menagerie}} for [[draw]]. 

Even if you're not building towards a deck that will eventually make use of multiple copies of Oasis, it can be a reasonable alternative to {{Card|Silver}} in the [[opening]], providing slightly less {{Cost}} on average but more [[cycling]]. On the other hand, it is often skippable if you will be able to quickly [[thinning|thin]] all of your starting cards.
