I just ran a couple of simulations comparing BM with always buying nobles rather than gold. Similar to the analysis of the Harem strategy this Nobles strategy consistently beats BM without nobles. It is actually slightly stronger than the Harem strategy. This indicates that the statement in the final paragraph comparing duchies and nobles might not be accurate. --79.55.187.207 06:02, 27 December 2013 (EST)

Against pure BM, yes, but BM + literally any Action card will almost always beat BM. You have to compare Nobles BM to something like Smithy BM - which, by the way, wins nearly every single time against buying Nobles over Gold. Really, Nobles is quite overrated - not many decks wouldn't rather have the Gold, and those that do (strong Engines) often have +Buy that could be used to pick up two Villages or a Village plus a Smithy instead. The points + engine assistances is nice for many engines, though. Chris is me (talk) 11:54, 9 January 2015 (EST)
