Treasure Chest (hypothetical expansion)

Treasure Chest is the nickname for a hypothetical future Dominion expansion that revisits the themes and gameplay mechanics from each of the previous expansions. For instance, a Treasure Chest expansion might include a new Duration card (from Seaside), a new -costing card (from Alchemy), and a new Looter (from Dark Ages).

No such expansion is in the works; however, Donald X. Vaccarino has said that, if he were to create a Treasure Chest expansion, it would probably include one card representing each previous small expansion and two representing each large expansion. He has also reported that he considered a Treasure Chest concept for the expansion that ended up being Guilds, but Jay Tummelson persuaded hiim an expansion based on new mechanics would be more interesting.
