* Aqueduct only puts VP on Silver and Gold, but if you gain a different Treasure in the Supply that has VP on it, you'll move 1VP to Aqueduct. For example:

* Aqueduct only puts VP on Silver and Gold, which means usually gaining another Treasure has no effect (and the Humble Castle scenario mentioned in the official FAQ is unlikely to come up). However, if you do manage to gain a Treasure card from a supply pile that has VP on it for another reason, you do move 1 VP to Aqueduct. For example:
** If you have Capitalism and then gain a Farmers' Market, you'll move 1VP from the pile onto Aqueduct.
+
** If you have Capitalism and then gain a Farmers' Market, you move 1VP from the pile onto Aqueduct.
** Action Supply piles can have VP on them due to Defiled Shrine. If you rotate to e.g. Sunken Treasure, then gaining it would move 1VP to Aqueduct.
+
** If Action supply piles have VP on them due to Defiled Shrine, and you gain a Treasure from an Action pile (e.g., by reaching the bottom half of a split pile), you move 1 VP to Aqueduct. If the card you gain is both a Treasure and an Action (because of Capitalism, or because it's Crown), you move 1 VP each to Aqueduct and Defiled Shrine, if there are enough VP there; if there's only one, you choose where it goes. .
* If the card you gain is both a Treasure and an Action (because of Capitalism, or because it's Crown), you move 1VP each to Aqueduct and Defiled Shrine. If there's only 1VP on the pile, you choose which Landmark to move it to.
+
* If you gain a Crumbling Castle and then gain a Silver, you can move 1VP to Aqueduct before you take them.
* If you gain a Treasure from somewhere other than the Supply (e.g. gaining a Gold from the trash with Treasurer), you'll still move the VP tokens from that card's pile.
+
* If you gain a card from an unusual location (for instance, you trash a Gold with Noble Brigand and then gain the Gold from the trash), you still move the VP tokens as you would if you had gained it from the Supply.
* If gaining a Victory card causes you to gain a Treasure (e.g. Hoard makes you gain a Gold), you can move the VP from the Treasure pile to Aqueduct, and then immediately take them.

Because people tend to start with silver and gold may be either easy to obtain or actually valuable as payload, there is a high probability that there will land some tokens on Aqueduct. Just like Battlefield, this may incentivise a slightly sooner greening stage or at least a single gain of a good victory card, maybe an early cemetery.

There is no strategy article on Aqueduct yet. Feel free to add your thoughts!
There is also the possibility for a gimmicky "megaturn", such as overpaying a lot for masterpiece, to then put all of the 8 points on Aqueduct and then buying a single Estate or even a feodom, if available. This beats out the point gain of a province and helps the deck more, if your deck can handle the 10 stop cards. This strategy, more than any other megaturn suffers from 4 or 5 player games, because chances are high somebody else already took the points before the megaturn can happen.
