Re: errata vs revision

I don't think "errata" is that confusing a term. We already use it on Band of Misfits, as well as the 2019_Errata page. Relatedly, could probably bundle all the changes here (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=20551.0) into a new page. --Terracubist (talk) 18:55, 12 April 2022 (EDT)

I’m not crazy about “errata” because it means ‘mistakes’, and like, it’s not like the original version of Donate had typos or whatever, or that Donald had it operate between turns by accident or something; he made the original decision for a good reason, and then later on decided he’d rather have it work in a different way. (Also, errata means ‘mistakes’, not ‘the changes that were made to fix the mistakes’, which is the sense it most often seems to have been being used in.) “Revision” or “update” gets the meaning across without the implication that the original version was in error. I mean, DXV pretty much said it was something that needed to be fixed: Donate#Errata. I'm not really here to argue semantics, I'm mostly interested in using consistent terminology across changed cards. And in most conversations I've seen (in which DXV or others take part), "errata" is being used to refer to all changed cards without any apparent misunderstanding. --Terracubist (talk) 14:18, 13 April 2022 (EDT)
