- Treasure cards have a gold border, and have "Treasure" written on the bottom.
- You may play any number of Treasure cards during your buy phase, but you must play them before you buy a card; once you buy a card, you can play no more Treasures that turn.
- When you play a Treasure, you get a number of coins to spend equal to the Treasure's "worth".
- Some treasures, such as Ill-Gotten Gains or Horn of Plenty, have other effects besides giving you coin to spend.
- Though in Base Dominion, it is tempting to simply lay down all the treasures you have in your hand in no particular order before buying cards, this is not correct; Treasures are also played individually and in order, like Action cards, though this can often be overlooked when Treasures do not have interacting effects.
