If I did [[{{Set|Nocturne}}] today, I would only do 5 fate cards...{{Card|Pixie}} for the selection, {{Card|Druid}} because really it's a card that's different each game, {{Card|Tracker}} because it combos with Boons, {{Card|Blessed Village}} where you get to time it, and {{Card|Bard}} for simplicity.

{{Card|Idol}} would exist but not have a Boon involved[;] that Boon is bad because some are worse in the Buy phase and people fixate on that. {{Card|Sacred Grove}}, some people hate giving other people stuff. {{Card|Fool}} is too slow.

{{Card|Tracker}} and {{Card|Bard}} do not feel redundant to me. And I like {{Card|Sacred Grove}}, it's just, I know some people are stingy. Yes, some [Fate cards] would have had +Cards if that hadn't been too slow.

I don't think it's the move to cram sets full of mechanics - yes based on my experiences to date including {{Set|Nocturne}} - and I don't think new expansions want to just revisit old mechanics either. 

Then too, when a set has multiple mechanics, it's best to minimize how often multiple mechanics show up on one card. Instead of it being, "this is so cool it has both cool things," it's, "if you don't like either of these mechanics, you don't like this." For example, some people like Heirlooms but not Boons. Three of the seven Heirloom-givers have Boons. Turns out, that wasn't the move.
