Ordinarily in Dominion, after you play a card, it is discarded during the Clean-up phase, and you can't draw or play it again until after your next reshuffle. However, there are several abilities that allow you to recover cards you played on an earlier turn and draw or play them again during the same shuffle.

[edit] Recover cards from discard pile

These abilities allow you to move cards from your discard pile to put them back in your deck or hand, or play them immediately. They can also be used to recover cards that are in your discard pile regardless of whether you played them earlier in the shuffle, so in addition to reusing previously played cards they can also be used, for example, to mitigate discard attacks or accelerate your use of newly-gained cards.

[edit] Recover cards from play

These cards allow you to take cards from the play area and, instead of discarding them during Clean-up, have them available to play again next turn.

[edit] Cards that return themselves to the deck

These cards can return themselves to the deck after being played, instead of going to the discard pile.
