Dominion Tournaments are the method by which organized competitive Dominion takes place. They are run by members of the community and currently are usually hosted on the Dominion Discord. Both live and online tournaments exist, with online tournaments generally being considered more competitive due to ease of access for top players. This article gives a timeline of major tournaments (results easily found, 8 or more players), ordered in reverse chronological order by year.

• Medium Games 2 - won by assemble_me, organized by catmom, muenstercheese and seanahan. Signups were limited to players with mus between 0.5 and 1.1. This was a 20 player tournament with a group stage consisting of 5 groups of 4, with the group winners and second place finishers advancing to a single elimination bracket.

• Traveller Cage - ongoing, organized by Mackattack2 and sportingelijah. All games were played with either Peasant or Page (or both). This was a 32 player tournament with group stage consisting of 8 groups of 4, with group winners advancing into a single elimination bracket.

• No-Terminal Mix - ongoing, organized by Mackattack2 and Rozyroz. Kingdoms were selected from a set of 75 cards curated by Donald X.. The selection contained no terminal actions and also no villages. All action cards also gave +1 action when played, besides the set contained treasure and night cards. This is a 50 player tournament with a group stage followed by separate single elimination stages for each finishing place in the group stage.

• Order vs. Chaos - ongoing, organized by assemble_me. This is a 44 player tournament. Each player starts in two brackets: In the Order bracket, players were seeded by mu-phi, in the Chaos bracket, players were seeeded fully randomly. In the Order bracket, players choose 4 horizontal card shaped object types, in the Chaos Bracket, players play with 4 random horizontals. In the grand finals, the winner of both brackets face off.

Contrary to many other tournaments, public voice and spectator chat with teammates and opponents was encouraged.

A series of invitational knockout tournaments for the Dominion League division winners to determine their tier champions. Initially organized by assemble_me. Some seasons may not have tier champions if players do not opt to participate. More information (brackets, participants, etc.) can be found in the pinned posts in the Discord channel here.

Organized on the Dominion Discord, these tournaments are limited to players with specific rating ranges. For example, Small Games are typically limited to players below 0.5 mu, while Medium Games are limited to players with mus between 0.5 and 1.1. These tournaments usually consist of a group stage followed by a 4-person single elimination stage.

Organized by Mic Qsenoch on the Dominion Discord, these single-day tournaments took place over the course of 3-4 hours. Particpants matched with each other during a free-play period where they were awarded points for wins and deducted points for losses. Starting with Quarantine Cup 2, the top 4 players from the free-play period played in single elimination one-game play-offs.

The Dominion League started in 2014, and was originally organized by Stef. In each season of the league, players are placed into a division with similarly skilled players with whom they compete in a round-robin tournament consisting of 6-game matches. Between seasons, players who perform well promote and move up the pyramid structure of the league while those who perform poorly demote and move down. In the top division (A), the two best performing players play in a 6-game championship match to determine the season winner, with the results of the championship match added to their season totals.
