"Virtual +Buy" is an informal term for cards that do not provide +Buy per se, but can serve a similar function to those that do in that they allow you to gain multiple cards per turn. Either +buy or virtual +buy is usually needed for engine strategies, in order to accumulate a sufficient density of engine components in your deck quickly.
Cards that provide virtual +Buy include:
- Black Market
- Gainers and remodelers
- Border Village, Stonemason and Messenger
- Outpost and Possession
