Virtual coin, also called virtual money, refers to non-Treasure sources of coin, especially Action cards.
Non-terminal virtual-coin Actions are often classified as either disappearing money or Peddler variants based on whether they are stop cards or not. Terminal virtual-coin Actions are almost always stop cards.

There are a tremendous number of cards that offer virtual coin. Fate cards provide virtual coin when they reveal The Field's Gift or The Forest's Gift. Way of the Chameleon from Menagerie can turn most draw cards into virtual coin and vice versa. Cost reduction can substitute for virtual coin in many situations.
