+1 Action +1 Buy + Once this turn, when you gain a Treasure, you may play it. |
Mining Road is an Action card from Plunder. It is a non-terminal source of +Buy, and gives you the opportunity to play a Treasure card immediately when you gain it. This may amount to letting you buy Treasure at a discount by immediately getting back some of the you spent to buy it, or can have other effects depending on which Treasures are gained and when.

[edit] FAQ
[edit] Official FAQ
- Playing the Treasure is optional.
- This ability is cumulative; if you play two Mining Roads, then twice that turn you may play a Treasure when you gain one. However two Mining Roads can't play the same gained Treasure twice.
- Mining Road applies to Treasures gained due to being bought, or gained other ways.
- It works in your Action phase if you gain a Treasure then.
[edit] Other rules clarifications
- If gaining a Treasure causes you to gain a Treasure (e.g. a Fortune that gains a Gold), and you've played multiple Mining Roads, you can play those Treasures in any order (i.e. you can play the Gold before playing the Fortune).

[edit] Trivia
[edit] Preview
Mining Road is a non-Treasure that cares about Treasures. It makes one leap into play, which is bound to be handy. And gives you +Buy, so it's useful even if you're only gaining Treasures by buying them.
[edit] Secret History
Initially didn't have the +1 Action. Most +Action +
stuff in the set is Treasures, but this stayed an Action so you could play Treasure-gaining Actions after it.
