Swap is an Action from Allies. It is a cantrip that allows you to transform any Action card in your hand into a different Action card.
FAQ
Official FAQ
- First you get +1 Card and +1 Action. Then you may return an Action card from your hand to its pile; this is optional. If you do, then gain an Action card from the Supply costing up to , and put it into your hand.
- The card you gain can't have the same name as the one you returned.
- Returning the card isn't trashing it, and won't trigger "when you trash this" abilities; gaining the card is gaining it, and will trigger "when you gain this" abilities.
Other rules clarifications
- A non-Supply card (like Horse) can be returned to its pile. However, a card with no pile (like Necropolis, or anything from the Black Market deck) can't be returned anywhere.
- You can't return a card and gain a card from the same pile. So if Sorceress is on top of the Augurs pile, and you return a Herb Gatherer, you can't gain the Sorceress.
- If you Possess another player and make them Swap an Action card, their Action returns to its pile, and then you gain a differently named Action card to your discard pile.

Trivia
Preview
Cards turn into other cards and leap into the fray. Buy it even if you don't know what it will possibly do for you; you won't regret it. This can of course mess up the order of split piles.
Secret History
Initially I tried "exchange" on it, and also trashing the card rather than returning it. I also tried not having the cost limit. It quickly settled into the card we know and love.
