Counterfeit
From DominionStrategy Wiki
Counterfeit is a Treasure card from Dark Ages. It functions a bit like a Procession for Treasures, allowing you to play another Treasure card twice and then trash it. Instead of allowing you to gain a new card to replace the trashed card, however, as Procession does, Counterfeit merely gives + and +1 Buy instead. Early in the game, Counterfeit can function like Moneylender, allowing you to trash Copper for a total of +; in the endgame, it acts more like a trash-for-benefit card like Remodel, allowing you to trash Gold and Platinum to boost yourself toward Province and Colony.

Other Rules clarifications
- If you use Counterfeit to play a treasure which has a condition while in play you no longer receive that cards in play bonus, as it has been trashed. For example, if you use Counterfeit to play Quarry, you receive from playing Quarry twice, but Quarry is trashed and action cards are not reduced in cost.

Secret History
I tried out a Throne for treasures in Prosperity. It seemed like a classic thing, but it wasn't as popular as I'd hoped, so I dropped it. I rescued it here by having it trash the treasure you Throne, which makes it double as a way to get rid of Coppers, and hey I threw in + and +1 Buy for good measure.
