Locusts is a Hex from Nocturne. It is a trashing attack, trashing the top card of your deck, and giving you either a Curse (if you trashed a Copper or Estate) or a cheaper card that shares a type, making it also sometimes a junker.

- Types are the words on the bottom banner, like Action and Attack.
- If there is no cheaper card that shares a type - for example if the card trashed is Curse - the player does not gain anything.

Secret History
Locusts started out as "reveal top, trash if <= , gain Curse if <= ." Then it trashed the top, gave you a cheaper card sharing a type with it, and gave you a Curse if you couldn't gain anything. It hurt too much losing e.g. a Village to gain a Curse; the final version can eat Curses but that's a joyous moment for someone.
