FAQ
Official FAQ
Full FAQ on the Knights page. The points specific to Sir Vander are reproduced below:
- If Sir Vander is trashed, you gain a Gold; this happens whether it is trashed on your turn or someone else's. The player who had Sir Vander is the one who gains the Gold, regardless of who played the card that trashed it.
Other Rules clarifications
Strategy
For overall Knight strategy, refer to the Knights strategy section. Sir Vander is fairly weak, since he gives you no benefit when played, and you only get the Gold after he is trashed; and one Gold is not likely to help very much in an engine that aims to play a lot of Knights.

Trivia
Secret History
See: Knight
Sir Vander is named after Donald X. Vaccarino's e-friend, and the art was intended to depict him.
Card Art
The art depicts a playtester.
Anna, Martin, and Destry are all recognizable. Vander was supposed to look like someone; the picture had glasses and I guess they gave up. DeChellis is good, so man maybe there was a miscommunication, dunno.
