The immediate comparison for Highway is Bridge. However, these two cards generally play quite differently. While Bridge needs extra actions and card draw, Highway needs extra buys and comparatively less card draw. Additionally, since Highway's effect is phrased though a "while this is in play" clause, playing Highway with {{Card|King's Court}} or {{Card|Throne Room}} does not provide any benefit over playing a single Highway. So it's a bit harder to set up a real mega-turn with Highway than with Bridge, but still doable with the right support. | The immediate comparison for Highway is Bridge. Highway is an Action card from Hinterlands. Highway is a cantrip that, like Bridge, lowers the cost of cards in the supply. Unlike Bridge, however, it does not provide +Buy; and without a source of +Buy or gainers it's no better than an expensive Peddler. However, with an additional source of +buy, when Highways are stacked you can potentially gain a large number of normally expensive cards very quickly. Such strategies usually lead to an explosive engine ending with a large megaturn.

Official FAQ
- This makes all card cheaper (to a minimum of ) as long as it is in play.
- When it leaves play, it stops making cards cheaper. This applies to cards everywhere - cards in the Supply, cards in hand, cards in Decks. For example if you played Highway, then Develop, trashing a Copper, you could gain an Estate, as Estate would cost while Copper would still cost .
- Using a card that lets you play a card several times (like Throne Room from Dominion) on Highway will not make cards cost less, as there is still only one copy of Highway in play.
- The bonus is cumulative: if you have three Highways in play, all cards cost less (to a minimum of ).
