Dominate is an Event from Empires. It gives the player a Province plus 9 tokens, for a total of 15 . It has the most expensive cost of any card or Event in the game, and can be thought of as the next step up on the basic Victory card chain from Colony.

Buy a Bishop and a Chapel, Use the chapel and bishop to trash all your starting cards. Buy a single silver and if you can buy a crown. After getting the silver the goal is to get a 5 card deck; 2 copper, silver, crown and bishop. In the turn you have that, trash one copper and play the silver twice with the crown to gain a gold. The turn after you can do the same but gain a platinum by playing the gold twice. The last unique turn you trash the silver and buy dominate by using crown on your platinum to get to 14 coins. Repeat this every turn by trashing your province, for a net gain of 14 points.
Dominate can resemble Colony in that it is an expensive source of a lot of VP that can reward slower engines that gradually build up to and give them a chance to catch up over faster money decks that top out at buying a Province. However, the similarity between Dominate and Colony is misleading, in a way that makes aiming for Dominate a weaker move than aiming for Colony. Unlike Colony, Dominate doesn't come with Platinum, a dense payload at a price point above Province—if you're going for Dominate, you're using the same resources a Province player would use, so it can be harder to build up a deck that can consistently reach the Dominate price point. Moreover, unlike Colony, buying Dominate depletes the Province supply as well—so you and the Province player are competing for the same cards. This means that the Province player can deny you Dominates by buying Provinces, but can't deny you Colonies.
