When you play this, you may trash a card from your hand. |
Goat is a Treasure-Heirloom card from Nocturne, replacing one of your starting Coppers when Pixie is in the Kingdom. It provides and can trash a card from your hand, which is made even more useful since you start with one in your deck.

Trivia
Preview
Pixie is another Fate card and has another Heirloom. It gives you a Boon twice, but just once, and it hangs around until the Boon is good enough. One of the Boons is The Flame's Gift, which trashes, but it's not super-unfair if Pixie hits that in a game with no other trashers, because there's always another trasher: Goat. It eats anything. And you sell its milk or something.
Secret History
And then, aha, pairing Pixie with Goat means that The Flame's Gift is never as big of a prize; we all have a trasher. Goat was not an early Heirloom, but was an obvious one to try once it turned out I would be stuck making seven of them. It of course worked fine. It cost for a while, but dropped to to dodge War and Knight-family attacks.
